bishop888 asked: wow im now even more worried about secret wars more than ever i buy a hell of alot of marvel books every week a good 15-20 titles a week but DC post covergence plans sound so much better than what you have planned. I know it important to shake things up take chances but there some core books you shouldnt mess with no matter how exciting and groundbreaking you think it is. saying theres not going to be any avengers books or x-men, deadpool book doesnt help your cause and just creates confusion

brevoortformspring:

You know, people said that very loudly about AGE OF APOCALYPSE back in the day as well—that cancelling all of the X-Men titles to replace them with other things was a crazy move. And yet, it all seemed to work out fine. So people will either be interested in what we’re doing and jump on board and stay on board, or they won’t and they won’t. We’ve chosen what we believe to be the best course of action, we’ve laid out our plans over literally years, and now we’re going to see those plans through. I’m sorry that you’re feeling a bit unsettled by them, but I’m also happy that you’re feeling unsettled by them, because that means that clearly our message is getting out there, and there’s uncertainty about what the future holds. I hope DC puts out some excellent books, but if I were them, I’d be extremely worried about launching them in the middle of SECRET WARS, and make sure I had geared up a maximum promotional effort to keep from getting lost in the shuffle. And that’s before we even get to any post-SECRET WARS stuff.
